What Are Your Check-In Requirements?

  1. To stay in our dorm rooms you must possess a valid US ID or a valid foreign passport.

  2. We do not accept guests from within Coahoma County.

  3. We may require proof of travel at Check-In.

  4. Guests are required to show a photo ID and matching credit card upon check-in.

  5. We typically enforce a 7 day maximum.

What Are Your Check-In And Out Times?

  1. Our Clarksdale Hostel is very simple and automated. While we live on site you won’t necessarily need to check in with the front desk. Many times you will receive and email or text or both before arrival with information about how to check in. If you didn’t receive these there is always a sign on the door giving you a phone number to us to call and be given your check in information. If you arrive late or early, don’t worry, as stated above there is a clear procedure outside for you to contact someone who will help you get checked in.

  2. Beds for new arrivals are available after 3 p.m.

  3. Before and up to 3 p.m. you may stop by the office and check in with us. We will give you loads of information about Clarksdale and we are happy to hold onto your bags in our secure luggage area. You cannot get into your room until after 3 p.m. Please understand we have to clean rooms and dorm beds before we can get you into your comfy accommodations.

  4. Check-Out time is 11:00 a.m.

What Are Your Charge/Cancellation Policy?

  1. All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit card at time of booking.

  2. 9% Taxes not included and will be added upon charging.

  3. We have a 5 day cancellation policy on all reservations. If you cancel 5 days ahead or more there is no penalty. Cancelling inside of the 5 days will result in a full charge, no exceptions.

  4. Please note that if you booked using any OTA and used their Non Refundable option then we cannot help you with a refund. Only take that risk if you are sure that you are coming. Otherwise please use the Standard Rate option. On our website there is only a Standard Rate.

  5. *IMPORTANT* For the following; Juke Joint Festival and any other large event, the cancellation will increase to 14 days. Cancelling inside of the 14 days will result in a full charge, no exceptions.

  6. You can expect a charge of anywhere from the first nights value to the full amount almost immediately after reservations are made. This provides both parties with safety. You know that you have a reservation that has had a deposit placed down on it. We know that the cards used in making the reservation are valid and that we won’t lose on rooms that we have held for lengthy periods of time when guests no show.

  7. Auberge Clarksdale Hostel reserves the right to charge or pre-authorize the provided credit cards up to the full reservation amount at any time after the reservation is made. If the card is invalid or if the card is declined we will reasonably attempt to contact the guest to remedy the situation. If the situation cannot be corrected the reservation will be released/cancelled.

Group Bookings of Over 5 People?

  1. We reserve the right to cancel any bookings for larger than 5 people if they have not been cleared with us first. Breaking large bookings up into smaller bookings does not change this.

  2. We always have a 14 day cancellation for groups of over 5 people.

  3. We will need full payment 14 days out from arrival.

Is There Parking At The Hostel?

  1. There is lots of FREE street parking available all around us. We just remind you to follow parking rules; not to close to intersections, don’t block driveways, etc.

  2. We have several security cameras covering our property, inside and out.

  3. We always suggest you don’t leave valuable items in plain sight.

What Do You Mean By “Dorm Room”?

  1. At a Hostel rooms stay affordable because they are shared with other guests. At Auberge Hostel we welcome solo backpackers, couples, groups, and all travelers who are looking for an experience where they can meet like minded travelers.

  2. For example if a solo traveler books into a 6 person mixed dorm he/she will share that room with 5 other travelers or either sex.

  3. Our hostel also has private rooms if you do not wish to share your accommodations.

  4. Note that all of the rooms at our Clarksdale hostel, private and shared, utilize the shared bathrooms that are right outside the rooms in the hallway. There is one bathroom for men and one for women. They are very spacious and you can see pictures on this website.

Will My Personal Belongings Be Safe?

  1. All of our dorm rooms have lockers directly underneath the bunk beds for you to use. Bring your own padlock with you to secure your valuables.

  2. We have several cameras covering the inside and outside of our hostel including all common areas, although obviously not in the sleeping areas.
